  1. What to do when your team work breaks down and your people are in a bad place

    January 23, 2012 by

Often teams are in a bad spot. Team members are burned out, only and demoralized basic moody. It might eventually the best of them. You’ve got to help the team change instructions and hop in if it happens to your team.
So what’s a great way to handle this?

hwo to get people communicating using team building perth

First of all you’ve got to help the group acknowledge the scenario. a issue is evolved by People won’t thing don’t acknowledge something requires changing. In a meeting, say something such as “Everyone nowadays seems a small edgy. What’s going on?”
2nd, talking and listening helps. If the party is irritable, create some space for people to go to town. The easy work of wasting off some water could be very washing for teams. Of course before anyone is sincere by what they’re experiencing, there will have to be some foundational levels of confidence currently in position. One thing to avoid is dismissing the feelings of the first individual who determines to speak up. Try to get your people involved and happy to be working together again, you could try team building perth  as a way to improve their communication skills and resolve some problems.
Sooner or later you need to employ the class in a conversation about perhaps the signs suggest a true trouble that really must be resolved or somewhat a negative alignment of the stars which will pass on its own. If there’s a problem making the crankiness, your task is to support the party concentrate its energy on coping with it.
The option to the activities specified above is the do-nothing method. It always does not while this can work in uncommon situations. A moody staff needs support and training like a management course such as cert iv frontline management. Thus jump in and do that which you could.

Interacting doesn’t come minute nature, to be done well, it’s a learned craft. The following are three issues that can improve your hearing abilities:
An attitude of nurturing more for what the other individual is saying than for your own ideas and worries.
The power to not and keep your attention to what’s being mentioned allow your head roam.
To fill out the holes of your comprehension through thinking and questioning about what is being said.
It’s been said, “One of the best compliments it is possible to spend someone else is to accept that what he/she needs to say is of benefit, to listen.”
Learning how to become an useful audience gives huge returns in your connections with people. By positively listening to another individual the ultimate supplement is paid by you. Your hearing indicates that what they have to state is critical. It increases their sensation of self-worth.

  2. Anti-scam advice: people dont just email you with amazing money making opportunites… seriously.

    November 11, 2011 by

It’s been said that we are entering the second big dot-com bubble, and with that there have been many online companies that have sprouted up in the past four to five years as clones of already successful online businesses.  One of the classic examples right now are all of the Groupon clones that have popped up in different niches.  If you’re at all involved with the internet at all, it’s likely you’ve dealt with a few investment opportunity pitches, either from friends or through your email.

    Credit card scam protection

Keep your credit card details safe to avoid scammers.

The most common way to get scammed online through email these days has been the investment pitch.  You’ll get an email saying, “Hi, I’m running a very profitable internet business in the beginning stages of development.  We are well on our way to becoming the next Facebook/Twitter/Groupon but we need cash in order to fund the purchase of our new office space.  Of course, we will be offering equity in the company that will be worth millions (if not billions!) in a few years when we go public, so for a very small investment right now you can get a HUGE return on your money.  Simply give me a call at 555-555-5555 to speak more about this amazing opportunity!”

The first thing that you need to be thinking when you read this email is, “If this was such a special opportunity, why are they emailing random people about it?”  If it was truly as good as the email makes it out to be, then there is no way on Earth they would be talking about it with anyone other than close friends, family, business partners, and potentially venture capital firms – this means it’s a scam!.  Think about it: if it actually was on track to be the next Facebook, Twitter, or Groupon, then they would have millions of people interested in investing in it in the early stages.  The trick is that no one can truly know how successful a company will be until it actually achieves that level of success.  Business, and internet businesses in particular are just too complex to fully project out their future success.  For this reason alone you should never invest in an opportunity like this, even if it comes from one of your friends that you have made on Facebook or Twitter.

    Dont gamble with scams

Don't gamble with the safety of your personal details.

Online friendships are great, but they can come at a huge expense if you don’t truly know the person.  They could be cultivating that relationship for years in order to pull off an investment con like this, making you think that they know quite a bit about online startups and business in general.  So when they come to you asking for money, it doesn’t even cross your mind that it could be scam and you happily pony up the money, thinking you’ll have it doubled, tripled, or multiplied by ten in no time at all.  After all, if they did it at Facebook, you can do it too, right?  Wrong.  You need to be wary of the fake investment scam just as you must be wary of any other internet scam that’s out there today. Stay informed about internet scams to avoid becoming one of the statistics. This article provides up to date information about some of the latest ones spreading across the web.

  3. Credit cards – do you overextend on a regular basis?

    November 11, 2011 by

There are many reasons to use credit cards. Unfortunately, the most common use that seems to be used by the average person is to fund purchases that they would otherwise not be able to make. Purchases like fancy clothes, new electronics, vacations and toys are all examples of a misuse of credit cards – provided that these items couldn’t be bought without using credit cards. Not only does this teach irresponsible spending, it also harms the credit score of anyone who decides that this is a good idea.
A credit score is the best way that any bank or lending agency has to rate people on their ability to pay back a loan. There has been a lot of backlash recently against banks and mortgage lenders, and with good reason. They decided that short term profit was better than actually using a person’s credit score responsibly. The result was a lot of people ended up getting homes, cars, etc when any sane lender would have seen that they had no ability to ever pay these loans back.
Getting a free credit score is the smartest and most responsible way for someone to take control of their finances and start to get back on the right track. Of course, if they already have a great credit score, the only things that they would need to do is to maintain whatever financial habits that they have already been applying and keep up the good work. Unfortunately, most of us are not in this position due to bad spending and saving habits. Seeing a credit score can really shock someone into confronting the reality of their spending and saving habits, and hopefully jolt them into action. It may seem great to have all the toys for “free” and pay them back later, but eventually later becomes today and the money isn’t there.

    Credit cards

Credit - useful back can be a trap!

What happens then? This is where credit card companies really rake in the money. They are able to charge exorbitant interest fees on people who don’t pay their bills on time. It’s part of the agreement when you sign for a revolving credit card. It may seem unfair, but think of the situation in a different way. Imagine you were the one that was lending out money, and you saw someone acting extremely irresponsible with that money, despite the fact that they said they would use it for college, books, or bills. Instead, they are blowing it on electronics, toys, and restaurants. You would understandably feel outraged. For most of us, this could happen when we loan money to a friend. Credit card companies loan money to strangers, so they must build in these safeguards in the likely event that a good percentage of their customers are going to act irresponsibly from time to time. After all, they are a business and they must operate as such. The best that we can do is learn to play by their rules and make responsible choices.

  4. New blog design

    October 26, 2011 by

As many of you will have noticed (at least I hope you all noticed!) we have had a redesign of this site. The old one was looking pretty tired and out of date so I finally pulled the pin and got it done. It is one of the aspects of business that many people don’t pay close attention to. The image of your business is portrayed by your logo, your website, the appearance of your staff, how you speak to clients and new customers – everything you do is related to the branding of your business. It is important so don’t neglect your branding – it could be the difference between massive success and failure.
